The Ashna Project
Ashna Wagle was a dedicated student focusing on biology and chemistry, a caring volunteer for children in need, a spiritual thinker, an art and music lover, and a deeply loving friend.
Ashna also fiercely battled her mental illness for years and that battle came to an end on December 16, 2021, when she ended her life by suicide.
In Ashna's light, I am working with her loved ones to create an organization that destigmatizes the realities of battling mental illness in the South Asian community and recognizes that thriving requires us to recognize a person as more than their diagnosis.
